Kenwood Road Planning / Design Study

Kenwood Road Planning / Design Study

(Item No. 5-588.00)

Purpose

In 2016, the City of Crestwood completed the KY 329B to KY 146 Connector Study. That effort examined multiple options to improve connectivity between the two routes.

The purpose of Item No. 5-588.00, the Kenwood Road Planning / Design Study, is to reduce congestion and improve safety, at the KY 329B intersection with KY 146, by providing a direct alternative connection between the two routes.  This project will also provide much needed multimodal access to the Oldham County Public Schools campus.

Project Scope

This study will advance the planning efforts that started in the KY 329B to KY 146 Connector Study. Primary goals will be to work with Oldham County Public Schools and other stakeholders to assess right-of-way impacts and to better define project costs. Oldham County will lead all phases of the project.

The study team will work closely with the Hwy 329B Corridor Study team to share information and ideas.

Study Area

The study area includes the area between KY 329B and KY 146 north of Oldham County Public School’s campus in Crestwood. (see attached)
